How Blessed am I

How blessed am I.
For over a year I have not been here. does that make sense? I have been given another chance to awake. I am in awe of how much better life is this time around. I feel awake again. How good everything looks. How clear. How wonderful everything smells. How it changes how I feel to smell a spring blooming of lavenders. How wonderful food tastes again. Sit me don with a glass of wine, a fresh baguette and some cheese and watch the smile come across my face. It does not take much. A new appreciation. To be in the sun and feel the warmth on your body. To pet my dog and feel his wonderful soft fur. The overwhelming amount of love I feel when I smell my son's hair. The closeness I feel to my husband when he holds my hand. Everything. Simply everything.....
